Following the premiere the cast will the tour the UK – the final date for the tour is July 22nd 2006 at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. The cast includes soloists, dancers, actors and a choir. The musical is made up of 14 songs and is based on the story of Paul and Silas in Philippi.
The Rt Revd Dr John Sentamu said: “This story of people, disciples of Jesus, following where the spirit of God leads them, is our story as a church, as individuals and as a diocese. This year Birmingham Diocese is celebrating its centenary, a milestone in the same journey of discovery, obedience and joyfulness.
As this musical is performed across the diocese and the wider church I know it will encourage all who hear it to join the great dance of life, with a song in their heart, drawing inspiration from the Holy Spirit, Paul and Silas and the great cloud of witnesses who lead us on our journey.”
